Major Responsibilities
- Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices/departments.
- Confirm patient eligibility for screening exams through pertinent screening guideline requirements,completesscreening orders, andschedulesscreening.
- Coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients as needed.
- Obtains insurance authorizations as needed.
- Coordinates and schedules procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers.
- Reviews, schedules, and confirms schedules areaccurateand time is properlyallocated.
- Followsup on all referrals to ensure no care gaps.
- Available to help withpromotionactivities (i.e.health fairs, outreach, and information sessions).
- Participatesoncommittees and special task forces as requested.
- Conducts patient interviews, vital sign recording, and meticulous documentation.
- Sets up examination rooms andcomplies withinfection prevention policies.
- Coordinates clinic and provider schedules.
