We are a modern, patient-centered dental practice seeking an experienced and motivated PART TIME Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our clinical team. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working closely with patients, and takes pride in delivering high-quality dental care.
Qualifications:
- Radiology license (Required)
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix) a plus
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a wide variety of procedures
- Take high-quality dental radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient medical histories
- Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols throughout the office
- Accurately chart conditions and treatment plans using dental software
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies in operatory rooms
