What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with facility leadership and the Medical Director to develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention goals and action plans
- Identify and monitor infection risks, including transmission methods, incubation periods, and symptoms
- Ensure a facility-wide infection prevention and surveillance system for residents, staff, and visitors
- Assist with outbreak investigations and guide mitigation efforts to stop the spread of infection
- Support required reporting to local, state, and national agencies
- Foster strong interdisciplinary relationships and build consensus across teams
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a long-term care environment
- Infection Prevention CDC Certification (completed or willing to complete)
- Working knowledge of state rules and regulations
- Passion for improving the lives of residents
- Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and reliability
