What You’ll Do
- Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations and nursing services
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure residents’ needs are met
- Monitor documentation, assessments, and care plans for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Conduct routine unit rounds to ensure quality of care and adherence to standards
- Review incidents, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
- Promote and support infection prevention and control practices
- Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives (QAPI)
- Help recruit, onboard, coach, and develop nursing team members
- Support scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to nursing staff
- Promote resident dignity, rights, and a positive care experience
- Current LPN or RN license in good standing (LPNs encouraged if actively pursuing RN)
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Desire to grow into nursing leadership (ADON track)
- Positive, dependable, and team-focused attitude
