What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and oversee orientation and ongoing education for center staff
- Lead staff development initiatives to ensure team members are trained and competent in their roles
- Support and oversee the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP)
- Collaborate with facility leadership and the Medical Director to develop and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans
- Monitor infection control practices and identify risks, transmission patterns, and prevention opportunities
- Provide infection prevention education during orientation, departmental training, and annual reviews
- Participate in surveys, inspections, and regulatory readiness activities
- Partner with leadership to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Foster strong working relationships with staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Serve as a clinical resource for infection control and staff education needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- At least two (2) years of successful management or leadership experience in a long-term care environment
- Infection Prevention certification (CDC) or willingness to obtain
- Strong working knowledge of state rules, regulations, and infection control practices
- Ability to be available as a resource to the facility as needed
- Flexibility to support training across all shifts and departments
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- A passion for caring for and improving the lives of residents
