What You’ll Do
Nursing Scheduling & Staffing
- Create, manage, and maintain nursing schedules for STNAs and licensed staff
- Schedule team members according to census, PPD targets, Atrium guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Review schedules daily to ensure adequate coverage and address gaps
- Communicate staffing concerns and trends to the Director of Nursing and leadership team
- Contact staff to fill open shifts and support staffing reliability
- Monitor schedules for compliance with pay rules, staffing ratios, and CMS requirements
- Track staffing trends related to vacancies, resignations, and terminations
- Post schedules and communicate updates clearly and timely
- Order, receive, store, and distribute medical supplies and equipment
- Maintain supply rooms in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies based on established par levels
- Stock nursing units with required medical and personal care supplies
- Verify incoming orders against invoices and packing slips
- Clean, inspect, and maintain medical equipment (IV pumps, poles, etc.)
- Report equipment or supply issues promptly to nursing leadership
- Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution policies
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Support interdisciplinary teamwork and quality improvement initiatives
- Attend required meetings, training, and in-services
- Active STNA certification required
- At least one (1) year experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
- Experience with nursing scheduling, staffing, payroll, or central supply preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage detailed work
- Basic computer skills, including scheduling or inventory systems
- Clear communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitude
- Ability to meet physical and regulatory requirements of the role
