Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year
Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping department and ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily housekeeping operations and maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, schedules, and quality standards.
Conduct regular rounds and inspections to ensure facility standards are consistently maintained.
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retaining qualified housekeeping employees.
Ensure staff follow proper infection control, PPE, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures.
Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing, Dietary, Maintenance, Activities, and other departments.
Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment, inventory, and departmental expenses.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and maintain current SDS records.
Address resident, family, and staff concerns and take appropriate corrective action.
Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and inspections.
Address identified deficiencies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate departmental records, reports, schedules, and inventory documentation.
Assist with budgeting and monitor departmental expenses.
Monitor housekeeping equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Review and update departmental policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Provide leadership and departmental coverage in the Director’s absence.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
High school diploma or GED required.
3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, Environmental Services, or a related role.
Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of infection control, sanitation, OSHA, and workplace safety practices.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to supervise, train, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
Experience managing staffing, inventory, budgets, and departmental operations.
Knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, boilers, compressors, and generators, preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety regulations.
Microsoft Office and Excel experience preferred.
Experience with SBV Time & Attendance and Empeon Payroll preferred.
