We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Medical Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily operations within the company. The ideal candidate will be able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, as this position is in the healthcare field.
Responsibilities
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Scan documents to patient records
- Enter new referrals into the EMR
- Obtain missing clinical information
- Working within the agency's EMR as well as several electronic referral systems
- Assist with answering and triaging phone calls
- Provide assistance to the scheduling and intake departments
- Other tasks as required
Skills
- Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to operate MS Office suite
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
