Position Summary
The Atriax Group is seeking a BIM Technician or Designer with experience in Autodesk Revit 2023-2026 to support Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. In this role, you will develop and manage detailed 3D models, primarily supporting architectural projects, with additional duties in civil engineering and construction initiatives. You will facilitate coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, and Federal clients to ensure high-quality, efficient project outcomes. You will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day design of our multi-disciplinary projects from initial planning through the construction phase.
Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Implement BIM processes and methodologies; maintain BIM plans aligned with industry standards and project requirements.
- Create, manage, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models and family libraries representing the physical and functional aspects of construction projects.
- Perform clash detection and model reviews to resolve design conflicts early, reducing errors and rework.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between architects, engineers, contractors, and owners through BIM and cloud-based platforms.
- Support architects and engineers to improve project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and sequencing.
- Stay current on BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure accurate model management, data integrity, and compliance with project and company standards.
- Conduct research and investigation on appropriate technical reference data pertinent to a project.
- Produce final hard copy and digital documents suitable for submission to clients consistent with contract requirements, schedule, and budget.
- Development design documents, including site, building, parking & road layout, site grading, drainage, erosion & sediment control, preparation of detailed construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Use software, including but not limited to Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and standard office software such as Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project, etc.
- Participate in site visits and conduct field measurements to validate existing site and as-built conditions.
- Meet w/contractors, as needed, for construction administration and design clarifications.
- Engage with clients regarding project requirements, concept and design development, and design presentations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Architecture Technology, Construction Management, Building Construction, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related AEC field of study.
- Certified Autodesk User.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a BIM environment; proficient in Autodesk REVIT and Building Suites.
- Proficient in rendering platforms such as Revit AI plugins or similar software.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and materials processes.
- Ability to balance creative design solutions with technical constraints and cost-efficiency considerations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Analytical mindset with unwavering attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Autodesk Certified Associate/ Professional in Revit for Architectural Design, or attainable within one year
• Project management and/or client services experience
• Experience with DoD, USACE, VA, DOT, and/or municipalities
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Ability to travel 10% -15% and stay overnight when required
• Ability to climb ladders, work from lifts, stand, kneel, and crouch for periods of time
