Job Summary
This entry-level Technician Support role provides technical support across production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, and product development. The position is responsible for setting up test equipment, conducting routine tests, assembling production units, calibrating systems, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and maintaining accurate technical data. Work is closely supervised and follows defined methods, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on production assemblies and units according to established methods, procedures, and standards.
- Lay out and assemble units for production equipment based on designs and specifications.
- Adjust and calibrate systems and equipment as needed.
- Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components according to diagrams and sketches.
- Troubleshoot routine malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts and components as directed.
- Use hand tools, small power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment to perform assigned duties.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Use schematics, diagrams, written instructions, and verbal guidance to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established procedures and formulas.
- Perform detailed mathematical calculations as required.
- For higher levels, contribute suggestions or improvements to optimize work processes.
