Location: Pleasanton, CA

Pay Rate: $21.50 / hour

Shift: Day Shift (Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM)

Employment Type: Contract (Potential for extension or conversion to direct hire based on performance and business needs)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Operator I to support the manufacturing of high-quality, life-saving medical devices within a production cell. Working under close supervision, this role performs assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies following standardized procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine assembly, repair, and functional testing on medical devices and subassemblies.
• Handle and maneuver small components and parts with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Complete accurate job documentation, device history records, and travelers to ensure full part traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize electronic data collection systems and basic software applications to record operational metrics.
• Follow all safety guidelines, utilize appropriate safety devices, and adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cell performance, and efficiency metrics.
• Communicate ideas, operational issues, and solutions clearly in both written and verbal form to manufacturing management.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal team members and external visitors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required (verification required upon hire).

  • Manual dexterity to handle and maneuver small parts and subassemblies.
  • Proficiency with basic computer software and electronic data entry systems.
