The role
ATP Flight School is seeking a skilled Front-End Web Developer to join our team. This role involves developing and optimizing modern, responsive web applications while ensuring high performance, usability, and design consistency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, an eye for design, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with the option to work remote, in-person, or hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Build scalable, maintainable stylesheets using CSS preprocessors (Sass or Less) and CSS Flexbox
- Implement and optimize Vue.js or Angular for front-end development
- Ensure responsive design across mobile, tablet, and desktop using media queries and flexible layouts
- Improve performance optimization, reducing page load times and enhancing Core Web Vitals
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and back-end services
- Manage code repositories using Git or SVN for version control
- Utilize build tools like Webpack, Vite, Gulp, or CodeKit to streamline development workflows
- Collaborate with designers and developers to translate UI/UX designs into functional web experiences
- Apply color theory, typography, and branding guidelines for a strong visual hierarchy and design consistency
- Write, proofread, and optimize web copy for clarity, accuracy, and SEO compliance
- Implement and monitor SEO best practices to improve site visibility and ranking
- Analyze user engagement and site performance using GA4 and other analytics platforms
- Work with Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy tracking tags (preferred but not required)
- Develop animations and interactivity using CSS animations, GSAP, or JavaScript-based motion libraries
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
- Experience with Vue.js or Angular
- Strong knowledge of CSS preprocessors (Sass or Less) and CSS Flexbox
- Familiarity with Git or SVN for version control
- Hands-on experience with Webpack, Vite, Gulp, or CodeKit
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation
- Experience with GA4 and website analytics tools
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (preferred but not required)
- Experience improving usability, readability, and site structure
- Proficiency in creating animations using CSS, GSAP, or JavaScript
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and translate technical issues
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently
