Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities across ITSM and ITOM.
• Develop and customize solutions using ServiceNow scripting and coding best practices.
• Build and enhance ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog Management.
• Implement and support ITOM functionalities such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and CMDB.
• Write and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, Data Policies, and Scheduled Jobs.
• Develop reusable server-side and client-side components using JavaScript, Glide API, GlideAjax, and asynchronous client-server communication.
• Create and optimize workflows using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and catalog automation techniques.
• Design custom applications, modules, forms, tables, and integrations based on business requirements.
• Build and manage integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and web services.
• Perform advanced scripting for data transformation, import sets, transform maps, and background scripts.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards, secure coding practices, and platform governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom scripts, workflows, integrations, and platform performance.
• Support platform upgrades, instance maintenance, patching, cloning, and release activities.
• Maintain CMDB data quality and governance through automation and coding techniques.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to convert functional requirements into technical designs and robust implementations.
• Document technical designs, customizations, scripts, and deployment procedures.
• Mentor junior developers on coding standards, debugging techniques, and ServiceNow development best practices.
