Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API Testing, Test Automation Framework Development, and Quality Engineering. The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, define testing strategies, mentor QA team members, and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end QA automation efforts across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and reusable test components.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Define QA best practices, standards, and automation strategies.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API validation, contract testing, and backend data verification.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive root cause analysis.
- Review test cases, automation scripts, and quality metrics.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation tools and quality processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in QA Automation Testing.
- Hands-on expertise with API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Experience with automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and test automation optimization.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in QA Automation, Agile, or Cloud technologies are preferred.
