Warehouse Supervisor
General Duties:
- Develop and promote company goals and objectives through the management of planning and supervision activities for Grand Prairie, TX Warehouse.
- Responsible for achieving company productivity targets by maintaining accountability within departments.
- Develop and maintain annual operating budget for Operations
- Develop responsive working relationships with sales, purchasing, customer service, and management
- Ensures the use and updating of productivity and other operational software systems to enhance low-cost operations
- Analyzes, identifies, and proposes action to the solution of problems to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Warehouse activities
- Communicate departmental goals to respective managers and ensure appropriate training and tools are provided to achieve those goals
- Ensures the safety and security of employees while on Company property and while performing operational activities
- Ensure the company safety program is followed and goals are met
- Conducts needs assessments to develop staff to meet present and future business needs
Warehouse Supervision activities include:
- Ensures accurate order selection of products, as ordered by the customer
- Monitors product selection to ensure quality product is shipped and that product is arriving to customer in acceptable condition
- Ensures that loading activities are accurate and efficient so customers have orders as requested.
- Monitors stocking and replenishment to ensure proper product rotation is occurring
- Ensure that product information and labels are accurate to ensure accurate data for planning and evaluation of warehouse activities
- Monitors efficiency of product receiving by reviewing processes for receiving and product put away.
- Evaluate product damage incidents to manage and eliminate damage within warehouse activities and in the receipt of damaged product from vendors and customers
- Ensures that newly received merchandise is shelved and rotated properly
- Ensures productivity, inventory control and maintenance through warehouse inventory and management systems
- Research and recommend new methods to increase productivity and efficiencies throughout the Warehouse
Facility and Equipment Maintenance Management activities include:
- Ensures that all warehouse and facility areas are maintained in sanitary condition to meet full regulatory requirements with sanitary requirements and guidelines
- Monitors pest activity in warehouse facilities to eliminate product damage and loss
- Reviews major expenditures to control operational budget
- Analyzes growth of operations against facility size to maintain proper storage, receiving and shipping capabilities for present and future business

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
Must understand Free trade agreements, customs documentation requirements, Incoterms 2010, and US import and export laws.
Must be proficient in Microsoft office tools ex. Excel, word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of production operations and supervisory principles including but not limited to; all applicable equipment applications, warehousing principles, continuous improvement, 5S, inventory control, safety, material flows, and supply chain principles.
Employee will need to communicate effectively with subordinates, management, staff, production employees, customs, customers, and suppliers.
Must be able to present information as required from a logistics perspective to portray the impact and/or benefit to the organization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
