Title: PDC Stock Shipper
Department(s): Logistics/Customer Service
Reports to: Logistics Team Lead
Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:30PM, 1 hour lunch
Job Summary
The PDC Stock Shipper plays a critical role in supporting Product Distribution Centers (PDCs) by ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipment of inventory. This position is responsible for coordinating freight, maintaining optimal stocking levels, and serving as a key liaison between logistics, sales, and freight partners. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, takes ownership of responsibilities, and consistently delivers high-quality work. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively across teams, and approaches challenges with a professional, can-do attitude.
Summary of essential job functions
- Setting up LTL freight for PDC stock shipments.
- Assisting in inventory audits and inventory issues that arise.
- Tagging and double checking PDC stock shipments at WI.
- Assisting the WI shipper or the PDC shipper as needed.
- Maintain stocking levels at all 65 PDC locations to ensure locations are stocked to meet sales demands.
- Set up FTL shipments by contacting each FTL carrier to achieve the best rate.
- Send inventory reports to the outside sales team and investigate the inventory issues.
- Filling in for other logistics employees' vacations and absences.
- Consistently checking inventory at the GR location to see if more serial numbers can be added to the PDC shipments.
- Compile all info for the transfers and email for quotes for that's weeks PDC shipments.
- Check/Counting units on the PDC shelves to ensure all are accounted for, then type up the BOLs.
- Collaborate with the team lead to do a final check on the PDC shipments.
- Work with the Logistics Team lead on deciding the next PDC's to ship to.
Qualifications
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use and maintain emails in outlook.
- Accuracy in a fast-paced environment required.
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Microsoft Products such as Excel
- itrack Data Entries (Transfers)
- Ability to break through barriers and investigate and resolve problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- High School Diploma or GED EquivalentForklift certification (or the ability to obtain)
