What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer position at Atomic?
Atomic · NYC, Boston, Austin, or Reno; remote positions also available
Most companies still plan their supply chains (quantities, mix, allocations, timing, etc.) in spreadsheets or legacy software.
Atomic is rebuilding the brain behind the American supply chain. By tackling operations optimization from first principles with an AI-native stack, we’re able to deliver unprecedented results at a breakneck speed for our customers.
We’re looking for first-principles thinkers who want to write code that drives the physical world.
All of our software engineers work on the core Atomic planning platform and on customizations for customers. We are hiring for both full-stack engineers and for the following specialties:
- Data Engineering: build automated, efficient, normalized pipelines on top of messy real-world supply chain data to feed into our models
- Back End Engineers: building optimization logic and complex models that are the core of the product (data science and machine learning experience is a plus)
- Front End Engineers: creating UI’s, reporting apps, etc. for our customers
- Infrastructure Engineers: building massively scalable AWS / custom infrastructure to solve complex problems rapidly
- AI Engineers: integrating AI models into our application to optimize plans, deploy customizations rapidly, and help customers interact with plans in real time
- Experience: 3 years for SWE, 6 years for Sr. SWE
- Ability to envision complex architecture and then execute rapidly and cleanly with AI
- Extreme comfort using AI development tools while enforcing strict coding standards
- Experience making software for supply chain/physical goods applications is a plus
- Comfort in a fast paced startup environment
Atomic is an equal opportunity employer.
