Duties
- Provide daily pet care, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and engaging in playtime to keep dogs active and happy
- Monitor dogs’ behavior and health, recognizing signs of distress or illness and communicating with veterinary professionals when necessary
- Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, vet visits, or routine check-ups to ensure pet and handler safety
- Use dog training techniques to reinforce good behavior and obedience during stay periods
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning kennels, feeding areas, and play zones regularly
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing to keep dogs comfortable and well-maintained
- Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and experiences
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling or pet sitting is highly desirable, demonstrating confidence in managing various breeds and temperaments
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus, providing insight into animal health and medical needs
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques, including dog training and animal restraint methods
- Experience working with animals in kennel environments or similar settings enhances your ability to provide top-tier care
- Strong customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
