Atomic Filament is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Spooling Machine Operator to join our growing team in Kendallville, IN. This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you'll play a key part in producing high-quality filament products that customers rely on every day. Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor spooling machines to wind filament onto spools accurately and efficiently
- Inspect finished spools for quality, consistency, and proper tension throughout the production run
- Monitor material feed and adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications
- Track and record production output, waste, and any equipment issues in production logs
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating spooling, winding, or similar industrial machinery preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor machine adjustments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and follow work orders, production schedules, and safety guidelines
