Job Purpose:
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Atoka County Medical Center is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The LPN will ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while adhering to established medical protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Provide basic patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and personal hygiene assistance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and discharge instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Required Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
  • Current LPN license in the state of practice.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic.
  • Experience in patient care and clinical procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to perform routine nursing tasks and procedures with precision and care.
  • Proficient in administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
