Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Machine Repair Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production performance. Your comprehensive knowledge in troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining and making improvements to mechanical/manufacturing systems will be vital in minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring proper operation through analysis of schematics and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct welding tasks using welding standards to repair or modify machinery components as needed.
- Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, low voltage testers, and high voltage testing devices to identify faults accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on complex equipment issues, providing technical sales support when necessary to optimize machinery performance.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to electrical safety protocols, including working with high voltage systems and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist in training team members on equipment troubleshooting techniques and proper maintenance procedures.
- Support customer service initiatives by providing timely repairs that minimize production disruptions.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with hands-on maintenance of industrial machinery.
- Strong background in electrical troubleshooting, industrial electrician experience, and mechanical repair skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management and documentation.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Experience operating scissor lifts or similar equipment for accessing elevated machinery areas safely.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and technical schematics accurately.
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing settings preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to resolve issues efficiently.
