What are the responsibilities and job description for the Right of Way Assistant position at Atmos Energy?

Primary Duties
1. Under close supervision performs basic and routine duties related, but not limited to the following:
a. Researches land ownership and prepares line lists of easements rights for projects.
b. Drafts and mails letters relating to natural gas pipeline replacement projects.
c. Receives incoming easement documents and processes for recording
d. Works with outside ROW contract agents to coordinate current ownership line lists for pipelines.
2. Codes, validates, and processes check requests and vendor/contractor invoices.
3. Assists in the maintenance of project status spreadsheets.
4. Assists in the coordination of project meetings.
5. Provides administrative and clerical support to Right of Way department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Associate's degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information. Requires the ability to negotiate or persuade others.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Computer Skills:
Requires a working knowledge of various business computer applications in order to create standardized documents, reports or graphs. Advanced user with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Professional, and Google Earth.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
May require occasional travel.
