Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation projects including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to maintain healthy turf and vibrant lawns
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, pruning, and landscape shaping
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including hedge trimming, leaf removal, snow plowing during winter months, and general site cleanup
- Use equipment such as excavators and other construction machinery under supervision to prepare sites for planting or hardscape installation
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris in accordance with safety standards
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment effectively
- Experience with lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with landscaping practices including hardscape installation and horticulture principles
- Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming, pruning, and health assessment
