Position Overview 

ATLAS SP is seeking a Head of Desk Development to collaborate closely with business partners to create new tools and applications that enable, streamline, and support our core businesses. This individual will work to rapidly implement innovative solutions to streamline decision making, data availability, analytics, and client reporting. Additionally, the Head of Desk Development will be a member of our experienced development team and will partner with other technologists to design and implement sustainable systems to facilitate rapid scale and exceptional functionality. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Manage team building systems to support our warehouse lending businesses 

• Design, code, test, and deploy enterprise software and scripts to support our business goals 

• Collaborate with the business, project managers, and development teams to enhance systems and processes 

• Implement reactive systems that can be folded into our enterprise  

Required Qualification and Experience 

• 10 years of experience in technical roles in financial services 

• 5 years leading software engineering teams 

• University degree in computer science, financial math, or a relevant field  

• Excellent oral and written communication skills 

• Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively 

• Results oriented and commercial 

• Experience in object-oriented programing  

• Expert working with relational databases and Python/Pandas  

• Proficient in .NET and related Microsoft technologies 

• Understanding of REST APIs and software design principles  

• Experience with fixed income analytics, mortgage analytics, or financial risk  

• Excel Power User 

 Preferred Qualification and Experience 

• Experience with loan finance and credit markets 

• Understanding of statistics and machine learning 

Base Salary Range

$200,000 - $250,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
