Co-op, Firmware Engineering (January to August 2026) - Milwaukee

Position Title: Firmware Engineering Intern

Position Overview:

The client offers transformative technology that helps the customers differentiate their business. Their products optimize industrial operations. We are looking for energetic engineering students who want to advance their engineering capabilities and be part of a collaborative team that loves innovation. We’re bringing the Internet of Things (IoT) to the factory floor, and the power of high-performance computing engines has enabled exciting new possibilities for the software and firmware engineers.

As a firmware intern you will work with a team of engineers and industry professionals in one or several of the following areas:

• Programming
• Lab testing
• Prototype evaluation
• Technology investigations
• Software development tools
• Small design projects

Position Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be enrolled for at least one semester after the internship concludes.
• Required to take the Spring semester off of school to work full time from January 2026 - August 2026.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Basic computer programming (C , C, Python).
• Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming.
• Previous experience with Industrial Automation products.
• Experience using Agile methodology.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is $22-32 / hr.
