Position Summary
The Crew Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring safe, legal, and efficient crew coverage for Atlas Air’s global cargo operations. This role manages day-to-day crew assignments, monitors regulatory compliance, and responds to operational disruptions in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. The Coordinator works closely with flight crews, dispatch, maintenance, and operations leadership to maintain schedule integrity while adhering to FAA regulations, labor agreements, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities

Assign, monitor, and adjust flight crew schedules to support domestic and international cargo operations

Ensure compliance with FAA regulations (FARs), contractual requirements, and company policies related to duty time, rest, and qualifications

Proactively manage crew coverage for irregular operations (IROPs), including delays, cancellations, weather events, and aircraft changes
-
Coordinate reserve utilization, reassignments, deadheading, hotels, and transportation as required

Serve as a primary point of contact for flight crews regarding schedules, legality, and operational changes

Maintain accurate crew records within crew management and scheduling systems

Communicate schedule changes clearly and professionally to crews and internal stakeholders

Collaborate with Dispatch, Maintenance Control, Crew Resources, and Operations Control Center (OCC) teams

Identify potential legality or coverage risks and escalate issues appropriately

Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within Crew Scheduling
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
-
1–3 years of experience in airline operations, crew scheduling, dispatch, or a related aviation role
-
Knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 121 preferred)

Strong decision-making skills with the ability to perform under time pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overnight coverage as required in a 24/7 operation
Preferred:
-
Previous experience in crew scheduling for a cargo or long-haul international airline

Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)

Experience working in an Operations Control Center (OCC) environment

Exposure to systems such as Jeppesen, Sabre, AIMS, or similar crew management tools

Any financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
Pay Range
$42,500 - $61,000 USD
