What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Marketing position at Atlas Venue Partners?
Head of Marketing
Atlas Venue Partners · Full-time · Remote (U.S.) · $85K–$100K base performance bonus
ABOUT THE ROLE
Atlas Venue Partners owns and operates a growing group of companies across venues, events, and hospitality. We're looking for a Head of Marketing to build and lead the marketing function across the portfolio.
You'll start with strategy: where each brand should play, what growth looks like, and which channels earn a place in the plan. From there, you'll build the engine to deliver it: a lean mix of in-house execution and outside partners that you select, contract, and manage. You own the outcomes; how you get there is your call.
This is a founder-level seat for a marketer, not a channel job. You'll report directly to the founder, set your own priorities, and be measured on results.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Strategy. A clear growth plan for each company and for the portfolio as a whole: positioning, audiences, priorities, and how the budget gets allocated.
- The marketing engine. Decide what runs in-house and what gets outsourced. Source, negotiate, and manage agencies, freelancers, and vendors across creative, paid media, production, PR, and web, and hold them to their numbers.
- Brand. Sharp, distinct positioning for each company, with standards that keep them consistent as they grow.
- Growth channels. Whichever mix the strategy calls for, spanning paid media, social, content, email and CRM, partnerships, and events. Deep enough in each to direct the work well and step in when it matters.
- Performance. Own the numbers: bookings, pipeline, revenue, and cost of acquisition. Cut what doesn't work and double down on what does.
- Scalable operations. Build the playbooks, tools, and reporting so what works for one company can run across all of them without you in the middle of every task.
WHO YOU ARE
- An entrepreneurial marketer with 5 years across multiple disciplines (brand, paid media and advertising, digital, performance, integrated campaigns), including time as the senior marketer in a lean, fast-moving company.
- Experienced with vendors. You've scoped, negotiated, and managed agency and freelancer contracts, and you know how to get great work out of outside partners day to day.
- Results-driven. You talk in bookings and revenue, not impressions, and you can show what you've grown.
- Scrappy. You know when to spend and when to just get it done yourself. No task is too big or too small.
- Straightforward. You say what you think, take feedback without ego, and would rather ship and learn than polish and wait.
- Ambitious. You want to build something exceptional and you're looking for the room to do it.
A plus: experience in venues, events, hospitality, or local consumer businesses, or marketing across a portfolio of brands.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Real ownership. You set the strategy and build the function from the ground up. What you create is yours.
- A direct line to the founder. No layers, no committees. Decisions get made fast.
- A no-BS environment. Clear goals, direct feedback, no politics. We're here to build something great.
- Room to grow. As the companies scale, so does the function you've built, and so does your role.
COMPENSATION AND PERKS
- $85K–$100K base salary, depending on experience.
- Year-end performance bonus tied to growth goals we set together.
- Budget to build with. Agencies, freelancers, and tools are funded; you decide how to deploy them.
- Fully remote (U.S.), with quarterly trips to our venues for content and events, on us.
- Competitive benefits package.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
