Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Must understand all liquor laws and cerify as TIPS trained.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Answer customer’s questions regarding products, policies and services that AVP provides.
- Help to resolve customer’s complaints.
- Count drawers prior to the start of shift to assure proper balance.
- Must check ID of any person who appears under 40 years of age.
- Ring up purchases.
- Process credit cards, cash transactions and verify checks are legitimate.
- Ensure that drawers have adequate cash available for cash transactions, request change if needed.
- Issue receipts and change due to customers as well as refunds and credits, with lead cashier of management approval.
- Weigh items sold by weight in order to determine price.
- Bag purchases appropriately.
- Maintain proper communication with mangers and fellow co-workers.
- Request information or assistance using the PA system.
- Assist grocery clerks with replenishing, fronting, straightening products on the selves when needed.
- Maintain proper reporting of all liquor related incidents to manager.
