We are hiring professional mental health clinicians to join the Atlas Therapy LLC Team in our Gillette, Wyoming branch. The clinical therapist position is open to PPC, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Ph.D., and Psy.D candidates.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations. The counselor will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health, crisis management, and medical documentation to support clients' emotional well-being and recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as PTSD or autism spectrum disorders. A commitment to ethical standards, HIPAA compliance, and continuous professional development is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing issues including grief, addiction, gender identity, chronic pain, PTSD, and developmental disabilities.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document clinical notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate patient care.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services when appropriate.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection to improve therapeutic approaches and outcomes.
- Stay current with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential.
- Active Wyoming License or eligible for provisional license (PPC, etc).
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or behavior management.
- Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities.
- Experience with crisis intervention and crisis management strategies in inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt counseling methods for virtual platforms is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations facing complex mental health challenges.
