What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Networks Services (ENS) Engineer - F5 SME position at Atlas Technologies, Inc.?
Atlas Tech, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player for this remote position to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are seeking an Enterprise Networking Services (ENS) Engineer that will be responsible for assisting with maintaining connectivity for Defense Health Agency (DHA) hospitals and working with internal and external customers daily. The ideal candidate will be an F5 Subject Matter Expert that will troubleshoot security suite solutions related to routing, load balancing, and application delivery.
**THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION**
You Will:
- Work within a team to make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.
- Serve as a F5 subject matter expert for all tenants in the DHA network
- Perform routine administrative and maintenance functions (installing, configuring, patching, updating, etc.) on F5 platforms
- Perform a variety of F5 duties to include:
- Support and creation of iRules
- Creation of Virtual Servers, Pools, iRules, Nodes, etc.
- Creation of Device Groups and Device Trust with Trust, CA Certificates, Identity Certificates, and Traffic Groups
- Configure Network parameters including interfaces, Routes, Self IP's, Packet Filters, Trunks, Tunnels, VLANs, etc.
- Configure system parameters including, Configuration, Device Certificates, File/Disk/Software Management, License Updates, Users, etc.
- Management and creation of SSL certificates
- Troubleshoot in preproduction and production environments
- Monitor performance of remote and local systems to identify problems, and if needed, perform analysis to identify root cause of any performance issues and take appropriate corrective action to resolve issues
- Develop scripts to automate manual tasks
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance
- 6 years relevant experience with F5 platforms
- Experience with F5 and creation of application specific iRules (required)
- Experience in managing SSL certificates
- Strong log analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with network monitoring/management platforms
- Experience with network management and monitoring tools
- The ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced, team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priorities
- The ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs
Education:
- Must hold IAT Level II
- Security Certification (CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SCCP)
- F5 OS certification
We'd Be Impressed If You Had:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
