Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Instrument Operator role based in Charleston, SC. The Instrument Operator will assist in conducting land surveys, set up and operate surveying equipment, and collect data in support of engineering and land development projects. Daily responsibilities include operating total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors, accurately recording field data, and assisting with boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. The Instrument Operator will collaborate closely with the survey crew and ensure equipment is well-maintained and ready for field operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems in the field
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or experience is a plus
