Position: Roll Former/Machine Operator
Location: Spokane, WA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:45pm
Wage: $19.50-$19.50/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in machine operation, manufacturing/production. This role involves operating machinery, performing production and quality tasks, and assisting with training and supervision of staff. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are top priorities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety for yourself and fellow employees in all job functions.
- Operate roll forming machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
- Manufacture and package materials according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks and accurately record daily production.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, conveyors, racks, and pallets using appropriate tools.
- Supervise and train assigned assistants to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
- Follow specifications and design criteria, including verbal instructions, shop orders, and drawings. Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, and machining.
- Identify secondary operations required for orders and communicate with the appropriate department. Ensure drawings align with order requests.
- Oversee tooling and die changes.
- Read measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and protractors.
- Solve basic arithmetic problems using a calculator.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in high-volume production environments.
- Experience as a roll form or machine operator.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
- Experience handling long-length materials and off-loading production equipment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to read measurements accurately with tape measures, micrometers, and protractors.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills and calculator proficiency.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and communicate effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and handling objects routinely up to 50 pounds.
- Work environment is a standard warehouse/production setting, with potential exposure to machine hazards, floor hazards, falling objects, and forklift operation.
