Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or hospital settings is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient health and safety in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Assist with medication intake, verification, and documentation processes
• Support patient service activities, including answering questions and providing medication information
• Handle IV infusion preparations following aseptic techniques and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with hospital or LTC pharmacy regulations and standards
• Support patient care activities related to medication administration and monitoring
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician with knowledge of pharmacy operations
• Prior experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or hospital environments preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic technique
• Strong understanding of acute care procedures and patient service principles
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy
• Certification or licensure as a Pharmacy Technician (where applicable)
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures in a clinical setting

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
