Location: Denver Metro Area, Colorado (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Position Purpose

The Project Development Manager plays a pivotal role in Business Development in identifying, qualifying, and developing capital projects. This includes scoping, preliminary design, estimating, and proposal development to deliver tailored client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Development & Estimating
  
• Collaborate with BDMs, Engineers and Project Managers to identify and qualify potential projects.
  
• Business Development activities to include, outbound calls, emails, identify and source new clients.
  
• Attend industry events, networking and personal business contacts.
  
• Develop conceptual designs and detailed cost estimates.
  
• Prepare material take-offs, preliminary sketches, and bid documentation.
  
• Assist with vendor/contractor pricing and sourcing.
  
• Client Engagement & Technical Support.
  
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  
• Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, client-facing proposals.
  
• Provide technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Oversee internal and external engineering resources during project development.
  

Design & Documentation

• Interpret and work with PFDs, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
  
• Draft, organize, and submit comprehensive bid and proposal packages.
  
• Ensure thorough, accurate, and clear project documentation.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or Technical Certification in Industrial Automation or related

Experience & Technical Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years in project estimating
  
• 5-7 years experience in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial industries
  
• Strong understanding of: Industrial automation and control systems to include SCADA, PLCs, control panels, Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Emerson) and HMI development, alarming, trends and control logic.
  
• Proficient with project management.
  
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation requirements.
  
• Electrical and Control Panel Design and Fabrication, UL508A/698A
  
• Knowledge of CodeSys

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
