Job Summary:
Responsible for providing patient care including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and accurate documentation in the EMR. Wanting someone with excellent patient service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward intake processes and overall patient care delivery. This position is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to contribute in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rooms patients in a timely manner after they have been checked in.
- Takes accurate vital signs and documents in the patient’s EMR chart.
- Provides compassionate care and addresses patient’s questions and concerns.
- Assists with FMLA paperwork and ensures completion in a timely manner.
- Sends out patient records per medical records requests.
- Send office notes to referring providers to keep them updated on their patient’s progress.
- Completes all follow up work required for referrals and orders.
- Responsible for chart preparation ensuring all required documents are available for providers on clinic schedule.
- Keeps exam rooms stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Answers incoming phone calls.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times and adheres to the office policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Google Docs and EMR proficient
- Flexible in high-volume work environment
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing/bending/kneeling/sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
