What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving/QC position at Atlas Metal Works LLC?
Misc. fabrication shop looking for a shipping & receiving/quality control teammate.
This individual would be responsible for receiving material, loading trucks for delivery, putting orders together, organizing completed materials, organizing paperwork, contacting customers/vendors, making deliveries as needed and arranging LTL transportation for national deliveries
This person should be knowledgeable of our products and organized. The ideal candidate would be able to read drawings and use industry standard measuring tools to give our fabricated products a final QA/QC check before they are shipped or ready for customer pick up.
We are willing to train the right candidate, and looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and possibly learn a new skill/trade.
The ability to weld or use other metalworking equipment would be a plus.
Necessary skills include:
Ability to follow verbal and written work orders
Ability to operate a forklift, tape measure, and basic hand tools
Must be able to use a computer to send emails, create packing lists, and BOL
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work as a team
Must maintain good housekeeping practices
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must speak English and be legally able to work in the United States
PAY IS NEGOTIABLE UPON YOUR EXPERIENCE, AND WORK ETHIC
Hours are 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday - Friday
Overtime is offered according to work load.
