Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc. is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our growing team in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and products within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include receiving, organizing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
SHIFT DETAILS: First Shift
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Hours could vary).
- Opportunity for overtime (OT) after work hours & weekends if needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Stage materials for machine operators according to daily production schedules.
- Maintain organized inventory with proper labeling and storage.
- Assist with packaging, crating, or bundling of machined parts for shipment or storage.
- Perform regular inventory and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies and assist with audits.
- Transport materials between production areas, warehouses, and shipping docks.
- Operate equipment in accordance with training and safety guidelines, using PPE as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and priorities.
- Maintain awareness of equipment locations and layout within the Machine Shop.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Forklift experience preferred; ability to obtain certification if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet (standing/walking) for extended periods in an industrial machine shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with a positive, professional attitude.
- Demonstrated diligence and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Basic proficiency in computer and inventory software (e.g., Epicor, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to read and understand work orders and identify job requirements.
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work overtime as needed.
