DEERFIELD Equipment Operator Full-Time - 50-55 hours/week
April-November - 30-35 hours/week off-season Responsibilities: The focus
of this position is field production of organic vegetables, including
tasks in field preparation, planting, cultivation, pest management,
irrigation, harvest, and equipment maintenance. Additional handyman and
greenhouse production work is available, especially in the off-season.
Qualifications: This position requires a strong interest in organic
agriculture, excellent communication skills, reliability and
adaptability, and attention to detail. Applicants should have at least
two years experience operating tractors and other farm equipment, as
well as familiarity with vegetable production practices. Experience with
general farm mechanics and handyman skills are also desired.
