Quarry Loader Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders to load and transport quarry materials efficiently, primarily base material.
• Load materials into belly dumps as well as haul trucks, and move materials into stockpiles when there is excess.
• Conduct inspections on equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely management of materials and a smooth workflow across the site.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Support other quarry activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous loader and heavy machinery experience is required.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, primarily loaders.
• Familiarity with the Komatsu WA500 or similar machinery is desierable.
• Experience in regular maintenace and upkeep of heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues on machinery.
• Familiarity with mining site safety standards and best practices.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
