Field Service Technician-St Louis, MO

Your role

Are you a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys working with your hands? BeaconMedaes is seeking a qualified Field Service Technician for the St Louis, Missouri area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and service. You will also build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify opportunities to enhance customer value, and represent BeaconMedaes' commitment to excellence—keeping us First in Mind, First in Choice .

Preventative Maintenance and Repairs (85%) – Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas Products. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope). Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs. Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments.

Warranty Part Returns (5%) – Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management. Returns must be completed within two weeks.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done. Perform additional assignments as required.

To succeed, you will need

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing equipment
• Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressed air or vacuum equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
Should have ASSE 6005 and ASSE 6040 credentials or the ability to obtain ASSE certification within 6040 credentials or the ability to obtain ASSE certification within 1 year of employment is required.

• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components

Travel

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• The ability to travel on short notice may be required.
