What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Atlas Consultancy Group?
This is a privately owned, newly built hospital backed by a long-standing local ownership group that has operated multiple successful practices across the Sacramento area for decades. It is not corporate managed. There are no production quotas, no negative accrual, and no pressure tied to revenue targets. Clinical decisions are left to the doctor in the room.
The hospital was designed with workflow in mind. Treatment areas are open and functional, equipment is where you need it, and the space supports efficient, low-friction case management. Appointments are scheduled to allow time for diagnostics, client communication, and follow-up. Walk-in urgent care is part of the daily flow, adding variety without the intensity of emergency practice.
You are able to work cases up properly and keep continuity of care. Radiographs are reviewed by a radiologist. A board-certified surgeon handles orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. A cardiologist performs echocardiograms. A mobile internal medicine specialist supports advanced procedures including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, laparoscopy, and ultrasound. You are not forced to refer straightforward cases out due to lack of support.
The approach to medicine is steady and relationship-based. There is a strong emphasis on wellness, client education, and clear communication. You are encouraged to take the time to explain options, answer questions, and build long-term client relationships rather than move quickly through appointments.
