What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Atlas Consultancy Group?
A progressive, high-end small animal clinic in Houston, TX is looking to welcome a talented Associate Veterinarian to its growing team!
This is a practice that has genuinely reimagined what general practice can look like for the people delivering it. Still in its early years, there is real opportunity for the right veterinarian to come in and leave their mark on something meaningful. The physical space reflects that same forward-thinking philosophy, with a calm, contemporary environment designed to make every visit a better experience for clients, patients, and clinicians alike.
The caseload is varied and fulfilling, taking in everything from wellness visits and dentistry to soft tissue surgery and urgent care. You will never feel like you are doing it alone either. A hands-on support team works alongside you in the clinic, and a virtual care team is available around the clock to back up your patients between visits.
Clever in-house technology quietly handles the paperwork side of things, so your attention stays where it belongs. Appointments run at 30-minute intervals, with a typical day sitting at around 16 appointments for a pace that is busy without being overwhelming.
Work-life balance is something this practice has been deliberately built around. Full-time veterinarians typically work a four-day week, with scheduling that flexes around individual preferences rather than following a rigid template. Weekend coverage is handled on a rotating basis, keeping your time away from the clinic protected and predictable.
The culture here is where this clinic really stands out. Getting started is straightforward, with an onboarding experience shaped around your individual background rather than a generic template. Beyond that, a consistent four-day schedule, genuine mentorship, and a team that looks out for one another make this the kind of place people actually want to come back to.
