What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Atlas Consultancy Group?
We are working with a modern, fast-growing small animal hospital in Carmel Valley that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian into its 2-DVM GP/Urgent Care team.
This is a full-time opportunity within a beautifully presented, newer-build hospital that combines routine primary care with same-day urgent care, giving doctors an interesting and varied caseload without the intensity of a full ER setting. The practice offers wellness visits, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and health certificates, all within a clean, well-equipped setting designed to create a calm and compassionate client and patient experience.
The clinical team is led by an experienced Medical Director who holds certifications in veterinary acupuncture. She is joined by another Associate Veterinarian alongside a highly experienced Hospital Manager with over a decade in animal care. This creates a collaborative, well-supported environment where doctors are trusted with autonomy but still benefit from strong leadership and mentorship when needed.
This role would suit a veterinarian with at least 3 years of experience who is confident seeing cases solo and who enjoys the mix of GP and urgent care medicine. There is an opportunity here to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the hospital, from client experience and staff development through to medical standards and workflow evolution. Compensation is highly competitive, with a base salary of $150,000–$200,000 plus production bonus, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
