We are working on behalf of a full-service small animal hospital in the heart of downtown Berkeley, CA that treats dogs, cats, pocket pets, guinea pigs, and exotics. This clean, well-organized practice is equipped with advanced tools and technology and has built a reputation for genuinely balancing exceptional patient care with real work-life balance for its doctors, reflected in strong community trust and consistently positive reviews.
Open 5 days a week, the hospital sees around 16 patients per DVM day, backed by a strong 3:1 support staff ratio. The current team includes three skilled, hardworking, and kind DVMs, along with multiple technicians and assistants, all focused on delivering excellent patient care and communication.
The case mix spans orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, wellness and preventive medicine, vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, behavior counseling, radiology, lab work, and urgent and emergency care, supported by ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and in-house labs. This hospital is now looking to welcome an experienced Medical Director to lead the clinical team, someone who can bring strong leadership to a practice that's already thriving, with the medical autonomy and operational support to keep raising the bar.
