AUTOMOTIVE DISMANTLER

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Automotive Dismantler to join our team. This position is responsible for safely dismantling vehicles, identifying quality reusable parts, and preparing vehicles for recycling. The ideal candidate has automotive repair experience, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in working efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

· Dismantle vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.

· Remove engines, transmissions, suspension components, body panels, interior parts, electronics, and other reusable components.

· Inspect parts for quality and damage before inventory.

· Tag and organize parts for inventory according to company procedures.

· Properly drain and handle automotive fluids following environmental regulations.

· Operate forklifts, skid loaders, and other shop equipment (training provided if needed).

· Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.

· Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.

· Work with inventory staff to ensure parts are accurately identified.

· Assist with general yard and shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Automotive repair or mechanical experience preferred.

· Ability to identify common automotive components.

· Experience using hand and power tools.

· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

· Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

· Welding or torch experience is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
