Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Staff to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support to residents in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines while adhering to safety protocols.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Utilize EMR systems for documentation of resident care and progress notes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans for each resident.
- Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide support for residents with Alzheimer's or dementia through effective behavior management strategies.
Skills
- First aid certification is preferred; knowledge of emergency procedures is essential.
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is highly valued.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices for individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
- Ability to work effectively with seniors, including those requiring memory care or specialized support.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment for residents.
- Proficiency in driving may be required for transporting residents as needed.
