Job Title: Administrative Assistant III (3977-1)
Location: Duarte, CA 91010
Duration: 3 Months contract
Schedule:
M- F, 8 – 5 pm
Position Overview/Project Details:
First and foremost, candidates should be familiar with COH and, more importantly, pathology.
This role provides comprehensive administrative and analytical support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Department of Pathology daily. The position demands discretion, professionalism, and strong organizational skills to manage complex and confidential tasks. Key responsibilities include managing departmental budgets, accounts, purchasing, personnel, and facilities; coordinating faculty appointments, promotions, and events such as symposiums and research forums; and serving as a primary liaison for faculty, staff, and external visitors.
The position handles sensitive information with sound judgment, facilitates communication and scheduling for meetings and travel, and supports policy development through data analysis and operational oversight. Independence, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success and departmental growth.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: At least one year in an Administrative Support position with a preference for 2 years.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's preferred.
