Responsibilities
- Assist the Room Chef with daily operations and kitchen management
- Supervise two or more team members
- Control labor costs, process payroll, and manage scheduling
- Order and receive products from warehouse and purchasing
- Interview and train new hires; provide coaching and discipline as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, product rotation, and food safety standards
- Ensure accurate recipe execution and ticket reading
- Set up and break down kitchen stations
- Build team morale and support guest relations with a positive attitude
- Act as a goodwill ambassador for Atlantis
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knife skills and ability to use all kitchen equipment safely
- Knowledge of various meat and fish cuts and their preparation
- Sauce-making and recipe development experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- General knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Able to clean, break down, and maintain equipment
- Understand and uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Follow all Atlantis policies and procedures
- Demonstrate full menu knowledge
- Consistently produce high-quality, well-executed dishes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
- Be able to stand for long periods of the time.
- Must be able to move freely in confined spaces.
- Must adhere to all appearance standards, including but not limited to no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair and nail colors. ***
