Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience.
- Assist physicians with equipment, supplies, and support in the Pre-Op and PACU areas.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain patient records.
- Assist with patient education and provide post-operative instructions.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment within the surgery center.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's in nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory upon hire or transfer.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are required, as designated by specialty.
- Prior experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and walk short distances quickly.
- Commitment to teamwork, cooperation, and continuous professional development.
