Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Use vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and floor care methods to maintain pristine surfaces across all hotel areas.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture, linens, or cleaning supplies efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met by following hotel housekeeping management procedures and industry best practices.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or amenities with a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, custodial procedures, and sanitation standards within hospitality settings.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety data sheet (SDS) compliance.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is advantageous.
